About

Tim Bond is a Swiss pianist and keyboardist based in Zurich, Switzerland. Coming from a musical family, he began playing the piano at the age of three and the drums at six. As a teenager, he developed a passion for producing and recording music. Before earning his Master’s degree in Jazz Piano from the Zurich University of the Arts in 2022, he had already made a name for himself in various areas of the Swiss music scene.

His deep connection to jazz continues with the band muralim, with whom he has performed across Switzerland and, in 2024, embarked on his first tour in Germany. The group was awarded the Montreux Jazz Festival Residency Award in 2023.

Beyond jazz, Tim has become an active force in the Swiss pop and hip-hop scene. While a planned festival summer with singer Priya Ragu was canceled in 2020 due to COVID-19, he has since played at Switzerland’s biggest festivals, including Openair Frauenfeld, Openair St. Gallen, Zürich Openair, Montreux Jazz Festival, Openair Gampel, Paléo Festival, and more. His first experiences on the big stage came with Naomi Lareine, with whom he continues to collaborate. He also works with artists such as Lloko & Drini, Nickless, EAZ, Cachita, Chiara Castelli, and Alina Amuri.

In addition to performing, Tim has produced and recorded his own music, including his duo projects “Larf” and “Halfterm”. He has also produced songs for his father, Andrew Bond, a well-known figure in the Swiss music landscape, particularly in children's music. The two have occasionally shared the stage, most notably in 2023 at Zurich’s Hallenstadion.
